About Us

Welcome to the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance! Our goals are to improve clinical outcomes and prevent the emergence and spread of antimicrobial resistant pathogens among cancer patients and transplant recipients by optimizing antibiotic use. Our team assists providers with antimicrobial dosing and selection, develops guidelines, and leads educational programs to promote the appropriate and judicious use of antimicrobial agents. Our research focuses on evaluating antimicrobial and infectious disease diagnostic test utilization in the oncology population and identifying opportunities for improvement to direct future practice.
