Adrienne is originally from Orange County, California where she started her journey North. She then spent 6 years in San Francisco, California where she received her B.S in Cellular and Molecular Biology (CMB) and her M.S in Microbiology from San Francisco State University (SFSU). During her time at SFSU, she studied the role of bacterial skin symbionts that may protect amphibian hosts from the fungal disease, Chytridiomycosis, in the lab of Dr. Vance Vredenburg. She continued her journey North towards Seattle when she joined the Bai Lab in 2019.
When she is not in lab, Adrienne enjoys exploring the city through food, music, drag shows and different forms of artistic expression. She also enjoys cooking, playing with makeup and surrounding herself with family, friends, and animals (preferably dogs).
