Our Research

Welcome to the Deep Learning Affinity Group (DLAG). Deep learning is a subfield of machine learning that has significantly advanced the field of AI by enabling the development of more accurate and sophisticated models for various tasks, especially those involving large amounts of data and complex patterns.

About the Deep Learning Affinity Group (DLAG)

Deep learning has contributed to the ongoing AI revolution, powering many state-of-the-art applications in various domains. Within biomedical fields, deep learning has made significant contributions in areas such as medical imaging, tissue imaging, spatial multi-omics data analysis, single cell omics data, disease diagnosis and prognosis, electronic health records, and wearable devices.

The Deep Learning Affinity Group (DLAG) is aimed to be a community of researchers and students who are interested in learning, developing, and applying deep learning methods in basic, translational, and clinical sciences.

We hope this deep learning affinity group can create learning/discussion opportunities on a broad range of deep learning topics.

The Group will host regular lectures (usually at noon on the first Tuesday of the month), where we will invite outside speakers or members to discuss their latest research findings and receive feedback from their peers, and journal club (usually at noon on the third Tuesday of the month), where we will provide an opportunity for all to discuss new literature or to present works in progress.

To join the DLAG mailing list, send an empty email to dlag-join@lists.fhcrc.org (not dlag@lists.fhcrc.org). Alternatively, if you are on the Hutch campus or have a VPN established, visit https://lists.fhcrc.org/postorius/lists/dlag.lists.fhcrc.org/.
