The Newell Lab researches immune cell antigen-specificity. Developing novel methods, we are profiling antigen-specific T-cell responses to gain clinically relevant insights into cancer and infectious diseases. Using mass cytometry and other single-cell analysis methods, we use a broad and unbiased perspective to delineate the roles of the extremely diverse immune cells observed in healthy vs. diseased blood and tissue samples. We are developing and applying new methods to better leverage higher dimensional datasets and to facilitate hypothesis generation and testing based on these very rich data.
