The Ortblad team aims to improve equity in health access by developing and testing differentiated models of HIV service delivery in high prevalence settings. In collaboration with our Kenyan research colleagues, we apply findings from qualitative research and stakeholder engagement to develop and refine novel service delivery models, which we subsequently test in pilot studies and hybrid implementation-effectiveness trials. Our research uses diverse methods from the fields of epidemiology, economics, public policy, psychology, and implementation science.
Partner with stakeholders to collaboratively design and implement innovative and high-quality science with real-world impact in a shared learning environment.
This team believes in the dignity of all human beings and is committed to research that address health inequities. We are dedicated to supporting the growth of independent researchers from all backgrounds in an environment of trust, humility, and open-mindedness.
