A small cell lung cancer tumor resection with multiple types of infiltrating immune cells including B (green), CD4+ T (red), CD8+ T (purple) and dendritic cells (orange).

Our Research

The overall goal of our lab is to understand how autoantibodies produced by B cells differentiate between normal self vs cancer cells and translate their exquisite specificity into theranostic applications. Tools employed by our lab include custom antibody microarrays, autoantibody epitope discovery/validation, isolation of antigen-specific B cells and their tumor-specific autoantibodies, and preclinical studies assessing autoantibodies as immunotherapies.
