Join the Lab

Postdoctoral Fellows

We are considering postdoctoral positions on a continuous basis. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply by submitting their CV, a cover letter detailing their past research experiences, research interests, and future goals, along with contact information for three references to Dr. Li. We welcome applicants from all scientific and cultural backgrounds who have the desire to conduct research involving concepts and techniques in molecular and cell biology. Potential projects include the identification and characterization of genes involved in cancer pathogenesis, the development of targeting strategies for novel kinases implicated in cancer progression, and the investigation of novel therapeutic combinations. Techniques range from CRISPR and small molecule screening to standard molecular and cell biology approaches, as well as in vivo mouse modeling. The Li lab uses prostate cancer as a model system for experimental design aimed at increasing our understanding of the biology of cancer and accelerating the development of new therapies for prostate cancer.

Graduate Students

Graduate students at the University of Washington are encouraged to email Dr. Li to set up a one-on-one meeting to discuss research projects for a potential rotation.

Research Technicians

The Li Lab is seeking an outstanding Research Technician I or II with a strong interest in cancer biology, immunology, and cutting-edge CRISPR technologies. The successful applicant will learn and utilize a variety of research techniques, including molecular biology, cell culturing, flow cytometry, CRISPR gene editing, and tumor xenograft studies in mice. There will also be opportunities to co-author publications.
