We launched the weekly "Wet Coffee Time" and "Dry Tea Time" to enhance communication between experimental and computational backgrounds, support team members in developing multidisciplinary mindsets, and foster synergy between wet and dry lab technologies.
We received support from the Career Enhancement Program (CEP) within the Translational Research Program in Cancer Disparities (TRPCD) SPORE grant.
A warm welcome to Soyeon Showman, who joins the lab as a postdoctoral fellow in the Computational Biology Program. We're excited to have you with us—welcome to the lab!
Chu received the New Investigator Award from the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG).
Chu was awarded the 2024 V Scholar Grant from the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
We are very grateful for the support of the V Foundation. We will use a novel strategy to integrate complex genetic interactions into Colorectal cancer (CRC) risk prediction. It involves a multi-disciplinary effort among computational, experimental and statistical scientists. The work will address the critical need of CRC screening to develop an accurate risk prediction score for precision medicine. The novel PRS can target high-risk individuals for early intervention to prevent CRC development, and spare low-risk groups from unnecessary procedures. Here is the story.
Radhika Sethi joined the lab as a Graduate Research Assistant. Welcome to the lab!
