This research is designed as an pre- and post-intervention evaluation of a patient navigation approach to LCS in patients who are undergoing LCS within the UW/FHCC combined LCS program who identify as AI/AN. It includes mixed-methods assessments including surveys and interviews. The overall approach of this study is one of Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and our external study oversite includes an external advisory board and Seattle Indian Health Board. The overarching framework guiding the interview and pre/post survey development and the evaluation of the intervention is the RE-AIM framework and Tribal Critical Race Theory.

This project represents a combination of a thorough mixed methods formative evaluation plan, and rigorous evaluation of pilot implementation based in the RE-AIM framework to ensure success of implementation of SOGI data collection at FHCC.
