Our Research

Welcome to the Boeckh Group. The long-term goal of the Boeckh Research Program is to prevent infectious disease in immunocompromised hosts and reduce the severity of infections that do occur. We focus on herpes viruses (primarily cytomegalovirus), respiratory viruses (including SARS-CoV-2, the viral cause of COVID-19), and identification of biomarkers that define susceptibility to infectious diseases and can also influence the progression and severity of infection.
