Welcome to the Diagnostic and Biomarkers Statistical (DABS) Center, started by Margaret Pepe. Our mission is to promote application of sound statistical methods in the evaluation of diagnostic/prognostic devices and biomarkers. This website assembles resources for education about, application of, and new research on, statistical methods for evaluating diagnostics and biomarkers. The focus is on validation rather than on discovery. The community is encouraged to contribute to this website., and suggestions for improving this resource are welcome. Current sponsors include the Early Detection Research Network and the Biostatistics Shared Resource of the Fred Hutchinson/University of Washington Cancer Consortium.
