The McGuire lab in the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division of Fred Hutch seeks enthusiastic, organized, and independent graduate students and post-doctoral research fellows who are interested in developing immunology, biochemistry or vaccinology skills.
We are seeking a Staff Scientist to assist with the development, validation, and testing of novel vaccine candidates aimed at preventing infection by viruses of global health importance including HIV-1, Epstein-Barr virus, or Respiratory Syncytial virus. The candidate will perform an in-depth characterization of the B cell and antibody response to novel candidate vaccines, conduct vaccine-challenge studies, perform data analysis, prepare reports/manuscripts, and supervise lab staff and related activities.
We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Scientist to assist with the development, validation, and testing of novel HIV-1 vaccine candidates based on anti-idiotypic antibodies (ai-mAbs). The project will build upon our previous efforts to elicit broadly using this approach. The candidate will conduct vaccine studies in various types of humanized mice and perform an in-depth characterization of the B cell and serum antibody response to novel ai-mAbs using high-throughput next generation sequencing,
