Dr. Tony Lok Heng Chu, HB Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Nelson Lab, received a DOD USA Medical award titled, “Identifying and targeting prostate cancer therapy resistance mechanisms driven by the tumor microenvironment.”

Dr. Pete Nelson received 2 Department of Defense Medical awards titled, “Developing and exploiting a 3rd generation prostate cancer dependency map to identify cancer vulnerabilities and treatment targets” and “Combinatorial phenotype-targeted therapy to overcome mechanisms driving prostate cancer treatment resistance.”

2023

Dr. Robert Patton was awarded a three-year Young Investigator Award from the Prostate Cancer Foundation for his project titled: Non-invasive prediction of tumor phenotypes, therapeutic targets, and treatment response in CRPC using ctDNA.  

Dr. Ilsa Coleman was awarded a five-year National Cancer Institute R50 Award titled: Research Specialist in Cancer Genomics to Integrate Basic Research and Clinical Data.
