Bhargav Vemuri

Title: Graduate Rotation Student

Bhargav is a rotation student this quarter in the Setty Lab. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical and Health Informatics at UW. Before moving to Seattle, he received a BS in Medical Sciences and MPH in Biostatistics from the University of Cincinnati.

His previous "dry lab" research projects include developing a gene signature predictive of relapse in kidney cancer and proposing novel candidate therapeutics for brain cancer and systemic sclerosis. Bhargav will be learning to work with single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data.

Outside of the lab, he enjoys reading, following Cincinnati sports, and listening to music. He is hoping to become an outdoorsy guy at some point in the future.
