Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

Responsibilities

The Stamatatos Lab is a leader in HIV translational research, focusing specifically on the  development and evaluation of both preclinical and clinical cutting-edge vaccination approaches against existing and emerging viral pathogens. We are experts in immunogen-design, protein and mRNA-based immunization modalities, structural biology and B cell immunology. Currently, our immunogens are being evaluated in the clinic in association and close collaboration with the HVTN (HIV Vaccines Trials Network) at the Fred Hutch. Our work has made significant strides in the HIV field and has direct clinical impact. We are looking for a candidate that shares our devotion to developing novel vaccine strategies and eliminating viral diseases.

Qualifications

  • PhD in immunology, microbiology, cell biology, or a related scientific area is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in molecular biology and B cell immunology.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently within a highly collaborative cross-functional environment is critical, as are strong written, communication and organizational skills.
  • The candidate must show initiative and the willingness to take up new skills and responsibilities with urgency and positivity.
