Title: Research Technician, 2021-2022/1

Nina graduated from Western Washington University with a B.S. in Biology, B.A. in Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies, and a minor in Education & Social Justice. As an undergrad, she participated in research with Nick Galati, investigating the function of Rad51 in the RNAi pathway, using fluorescent microscopy and the model organism, Tetrahymena Thermophila. She’s joined the Singhvi lab after working at UWMC’s COVID-19 specimen processing lab for five months and is excited to return to fluorescent microscopy to study glia-neuron interactions in C. elegans.

Outside of the lab, she enjoys riding her bike, browsing the free section of Craigslist, and baking bagels (IG: @bagelsxnt).
