Title: Research Technician

Alexandra 'Sasha' Kravchuk graduated from the University of Washington in 2024 with a BS in Neuroscience and MCD (Molecular, Cellular, Developmental) Biology. Between university classes, her passion for the intersection between science and art led her to join the UW’s undergraduate-run neuroscience journal, Grey Matters, as a long-term illustrator and leadership member. She completed her senior honors thesis in the lab of Dr. Aakanksha Singhvi, studying how a single C. elegans glia cell establishes protein microdomains to differentially regulate its associated neurons. After receiving her degree, Sasha joined the Singhvi Lab as a technician, spearheading a project that investigates glial polarity and membrane trafficking.

Outside the lab, she loves to explore the gorgeous alpine lakes and coniferous forests surrounding Seattle, though you are just as likely to find her falling down a YouTube documentary rabbit hole or nose deep in her next doorstopper fantasy novel.
