Sneha graduated from the University of Arizona in 2017 where she received degrees in Neuroscience & Cognitive Science and Molecular & Cellular Biology. During her time at the U of A, she worked with Dr. Lalitha Madhavan studying the regenerative capacity of neural stem cells. In the fall of 2017, she left sunny Arizona for the cooler, wetter Northwest to begin her studies in the Graduate Program of Neuroscience at the University of Washington. Here, she quickly fell in love with the model organism C. elegans and decided to join the lab of Dr. Singhvi where she is interested in understanding how a single glial cell can molecularly discriminate between its associated neurons to establish specific glia-neuron contact sites.
When away from the dissecting scope, Sneha enjoys spending time by various lakes around Seattle and watching movies.
