About Lucy: Lucy is a PhD student in the Bioengineering program at UW, and is co-mentored by Dr. Peterson and Dr. Kiem. Her PhD focuses on developing next-generation CAR-T cells for HIV and cancer. Prior to starting her PhD, Lucy spent time working at Sana Biotechnology and the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub in San Francisco. Lucy holds a BS in Bioengineering from Stanford University, where she worked in the lab of Dr. Lacra Bintu, studying epigenetics.
