About Lidiia: Lidiia is a PhD student in the Molecular Medicine and Mechanisms of Disease program at the University of Washington (UW). She is co-mentored by Dr. Peterson at Fred Hutch and by Dr. Bruce Torbett at Seattle Children’s Research Institute. Her thesis is focused on the development of scalable strategies to genetically modify T cells for infectious diseases and cancer. She received her BS in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at UW. She is interested in gene therapy and immunotherapy for infectious diseases. In her free time, Lidiia enjoys cycling and hiking.
